ABOUT MARCUS SAMUELSON

Marcus Samuelsson is the renowned chef behind restaurants across the globe, with locations in: Ethiopia, Montreal, Bahamas, Atalanta, Miami, and New York City. Samuelsson has won eight James Beard Foundation awards as chef, author and TV personality. Additionally, Samuelsson has won numerous competition shows including Top Chef Masters and Chopped All-Stars and appears regularly on those franchises as a judge.

RELATIONSHIP TO NEW YORK CITY FC

In 2019 Chef Samuelsson was named as the Club’s first-ever Chief Culinary Coach. A soccer fan since childhood – and a fan of New York City FC since the Club’s inaugural season – the new collaboration will see Chef Samuelsson take up an official ambassador role with the Club that includes working with the first team and collaborating on community events in the five boroughs.
